Linzess Review and Tips

I definitely have had a love hate relationship with Linzess. Linzess is a medication used to regulate the digestive system. I read countless reviews online and heard horror stories along with success stories. My experience has been a mixture of both. I have had the bloating and extreme bathroom rushes that people warned me about, but after time those symptoms have worn off. I still experience both symptoms on occasion, but have found that when I do have bloating or urgent bathroom trips it is usually associated with my diet. Whenever I eat something that my body does not agree with, I am miserable. Foods that typically set off my stomach are a group of foods called Fodmaps.
Fodmaps are a struggle for anyone who suffers with digestive problems. I am not an expert on what they are completely, but from my knowledge it is a group of carbohydrates that are difficult for the GI tract to digest. Examples include: Apples, Apricots, Cherries, Gluten, Dairy, Garlic, and many more. Linzess helps regulate my digestive system, but when I eat any Fodmap food it seems to be thrown out of balance. This is when my negative symptoms go crazy. I take the medication in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast. This is extremely important. I find that if I do not follow this rule completely, my body does not react to the medication well. As long as I eat the right foods, follow the rules, and drink plenty of water, my body reacts just fine to this medication.

Welcome!

Okay so with every new year comes resolutions. Resolutions that we vow to keep, but seem to be broken within two weeks. Every year I promise to become more confident with my body, but that never seems to happen. I suffer from extreme digestive problems that I have had since I was about three years old. Since I started high school, my problems have only elevated. I am extremely bloated all the time and have severe digestive problems. After countless doctor visits and extreme diet changes, including eliminating gluten completely, I am slowly getting back on track. I have started a new medication called Linzess to help with my digestive problems, and I will be starting to get into a new workout to help me accomplish my new goal of confidence.
All of my digestive problems are extremely difficult to deal with mentally. Unfortunately, it causes me to see my body differently than others might see it. I am told that I have a great body, but when I look in the mirror all I see are flaws. This is an extremely unhealthy way to view my body, but it is the truth. What most people don’t know that your digestive system is linked to everything, including your mind. When your digestive system suffers, everything gets thrown out of balance. This explains my past history of depression and anxiety. I am hoping that this blog will not only help myself, but help other people as well. Whenever I look at other blogs, I see girls that look like they have it all. I don’t want this blog to be viewed in that manner. I want people to see honesty and authenticity. I don’t have all the answers and don’t claim to. This is a road to recovery for myself. I will hit bumps in the road, but I will share each down fall with you as well as each high.
This leads me to what to expect from my blog. You can expect “First impression” posts on recipes that I find on Pinterest and other sites. Being gluten free makes finding recipes hard. I find some recipes to be complete flops quite honestly, and I wish someone would have warned me before I put it into my mouth. So allow me to your personal lab rat. Also, I will give honest updates on my changes mentally and physically. I hope it will allow you to connect with me on a different level. Lastly, I will research and review different things that people have claimed to help them deeply ( I will start with a review of Linzess). I hope you enjoy my blog and find that inspiration to help you actually achieve your resolutions for the new year.
xoxo,
